Flowers, ferns, vanity, and beer. Can it be science without Sierra Nevada?

The garden is awesome shape!  The Mexican sunflowers, the teddybears, the whatchama super tall kind--  all look great.  The zinnias are filling out.  But damn!  Those are some amazing Aztec Golds!
Tonight we did our first round of beer taste testing for the wedding.  We want a hoppy bear that doesn't make you feel your going to die of thirst or like you just ate three sandwiches if you drink it in July.  We're doing kegs, so we have to choose one.  We'll have our good old friend PBR at the wedding also, but one fine keg of beer will do us good.
Today's tests were inconclusive.  They just weren't cold enough.  We may have left the cold beer in the hot car while we visited the Habitat for Humanity Restore.  Just maybe.
I pulled Sierra Nevada from this round because it is one hell of a calorie laden beer.  I love it so, but I thought it would be too much for late July heat.  But it's just not science without it.  Sierra Nevada is my control group.

While no decisions were made, a good time was had by all.  I look forward to future testing, conclusive or not.  These photos were taken with the goal of showing off our prospering ferns (oh yeah, for the wedding -- isn't it always ((double parentheses: who am I with this wedding wedding wedding?!)) and awesome vanity off craigslist that will make our outhouse cluster more of restroom.  Not pictured: giant awesome mirror that attaches to vanity.
